9. WINNING!!!!

So tonight was closing night for Chicago. It was so bittersweet. We had our best house yet. We had least 650 people. The whole front and the middle back section were completely filled. So this post is dedicated to the cast.

You guys are awesome. I am so glad i decided in may to look at Madstage and contact Ken about helping out. I am so glad I chose this show and not big river. You guys were awesome. it was really nice getting to know all of you and being able to help you backstage. You guys are amazing dancers and singers and people. This show is what reminds me why I do theatre and will continue it. Even though we will never all be together ever in the same room, we are all still connected. Ken Urso, you are an amazing director and it sucks to see you go back to New York. Hopefully we get to work together again soon. Kate, you as a stage manager is amazing and I don't know how you stayed sane throughout this production. You dealt with every little thing and i thank you for that. it is sad to see strike being tomorrow but we will get to look back on this for a long time and say what an amazing job we did. I do believe that we had the talent to be called "Better than Broadway." It will be so weird come Monday and I am not heading to Middleton by five and charging cigarettes, getting the liquor from the fridge and making sure the confetti is set. But we did. We did while being super winners also.
